This year's moon phase calender is a cyanotype print, which is a photographic process of chemicals reacting to UV light exposure creating a blue background to contrast the white where leaves and flowers were placed. Here I've included cedar leaves, hydrangea, lavender, queen annes lace and a puerh loose leaf tea scattered throughout. The moons are all hand drawn, totaling many hours of concentrated focus and intention of the completion of this art work. I worked by candlelight and in snow storms, coming to terms that my circle drawing will never beat a quick computer generation of a circle - but I prefer the human imperfection.
There are two color options:
🌕 straight up blue and white
🌕 or tea dyed - dyed with the same puerh tea sprinkled around the border to give a warm tone and extra infusion of plant love.
Printed high quality on watercolor paper, total size is 11x17"
